Public Internet Access

 · The internet is available to the public. It is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

· Library patrons may receive 2 hours per day free.

Additional time may be purchased for $1.00/60 minutes.

· Guests may obtain a computer ID from the circulation desk to login to any computer for $1.00/60 minutes and must show a valid ID.

· We also have free Wi-Fi available for access from 6am-8pm. No password necessary!

 Internet Policy:  It is not acceptable to use the Shepherd Public Library internet connection for any purposes which violate U.S. or state laws.  Illegal acts may be subject to prosecution by local, state or federal authorities.  Patrons must have a working knowledge of computers, Windows operating system and be knowledgeable enough to connect and browse the internet.  All users must have the required paperwork on file at the circulation desk before use.  Children under the of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  Patrons between the ages of 12 and 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign them up for a computer user ID.  Patrons over 18 have unlimited access.  A copy of the complete internet policy is available at the circulation desk.  You must present ID in order to get on the internet.

All of our computers have Microsoft Office for word processing projects (resume’s, letters, etc.), PowerPoint presentations, and more.
